Afro-Rican pianist and composer based in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, Zammy Oswald, has been developing his distinctive sound since the age of seven.
Jazz musicians such as Bill Evans, Miles Davis, and David Brubeck inspire his use of impressionist harmony, block chords, and inventive interpretation of traditional jazz repertoire. Zammy is currently collaborating with local artists and developing various compositions for his upcoming project.

The moment we first heard Zammy’s track, City Zamba, we were hooked. Stylistically, Zammy is captivating. He manages to sound modern, yet classic and his beautiful piano melodies take you on a musical journey. Indiependency proudly pitched City Zamba to our jazz radio contacts and the responses were impressive. This collaboration between Indiependency and Zammy was a promotional success.
