Today we would like to introduce you to Dezabel, Songwriter and producer expertly fuses pop, jazz, soul, and electronica to make instantly lovable tracks. Collaborating with singers from around the world, he creates a sound with universal appeal. His latest release, ‘When It Comes To You,’ showcases his gift for laid back grooves and irresistible melodies.
Hereby the 10 questions to get to know better Dezabel.
When did you start doing music and how was your childhood?
I started making music when I was around four years old. My parents bought me a child's organ, and I enjoyed it a lot. When I turned about ten, I wanted to be a cool guy and impress the girls in my class, so I decided to learn the guitar. However, I was terrible at that. I went back to play the piano when I turned about 15 right when I started high school.
How has been your music influenced compared to the place where you grew up or live now? My music taste was different compared to what my friends were listening. I was more into Jazz; during high school, I was mostly listening to Pat Metheny, Herbie Hancock, Dave Grusin, Lee Ritenour etc.
What's your current dream?
Probably the same dream as most of our music comrades; make a living!
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years? Making a living from my music! Did you ever play in front of a big crowd or on television? How was it? If not, where would you love to play at? No, and I will never do it. I'm too shy, that's why I'm a songwriter and producer, lol. I will let other people perform If you would have the possibility to collaborate with a big artist, who would that be? why? Herbie Hancock, yes, definitively with him. He's a genius, not only in Jazz! What's your favourite thing to do in your free time? Walking my dog Newton and thinking about music...
You have been air played in one of the biggest radios on earth, who would you call first to tell the news? why?
Everybody I know. It's such great news I want to shout out to the world!

Release four more songs. Get them into radio stations and official Spotify playlists!
Anything else to add?
I'm so grateful for all my friends and family supporting me. My new song, "Tattooed" is dedicated to my parents. I lost my father two years ago and my mum in March. I dedicate this song also to all people out there who lost a beloved person. It's going to be released on May 1st.
